My Bullet Journal. 

Bullet Journaling has been a good constant for me. I wake up and I make sure to fill in my habits, list what I’m grateful for and make sure I have my to-do list jotted down. I make sure I write down how I feel during meditation and how mindfully I’m living, No matter what you do for a living or how you spend your time, a Bullet Journal can be great fun and very beneficial. I know someone who writes poetry in theirs and on the next page writes down business strategies. Your Journal is there to serve you and you can make it your own. You don’t have to be a perfectionist about it and type it all out on the computer, you can get back to basics with a pen in your hand and put it to paper.

You are one of a kind, make sure your journal is true to you. 🙂
My journal is full of flowers because I’m obsessed with gardening and everything to do with nature.

Like I said in a previous post, I’ve started practicing my cursive and I think its going pretty well! In the above picture I messed up the ‘B’ but I made it work. That’s the joy of  journaling like this, you don’t have to be afraid of making mistakes, its part of your growth and before you know it your journal is going to be full of beautiful art, lettering and goals. 
I have found that the journal is a great way to keep track of my mental health, I track my emotions everyday and take note of how it differs day to day. I track how many minutes of exercise and yoga I get done and then I note how long I sit in meditation after that. 
I love going back to my Index and watch how it grows, I’m filling those pages with my life and that’s very special. It’s an accomplishment to keep going back to your journal and filling those pages, keeping track of how you feel is the best way to experience your day. Be proud of it, and then in turn you will be proud of your life. 
I find myself aching for order and less clutter, I need to clear the fog in my brain so that I can see clearly where I want to end up. Now that I have started this wonderful hobby, the road seems a little clearer and that’s amazing. If anyone ever feels stuck, or has a creative block, my advise is always to start a Bullet Journal and I will continue to tell people how wonderful it is. 
This was more of lighthearted post, but this journal is a part of my life and I thought I would share some of it in this blog. 
I hope everyone can find their inspiration and get to creating the world they dream of because it is possible and our dreams can come true, we just have to believe.

Creativity and Positivity.

Be Creative.

I find it is very important to be creative. Creativity stimulates our brains, helps us think clearer and could be something that will get us out of a rut. When feeling bogged down by life, it could be beneficial to write about a place that brings you happiness or you could draw a picture of your favorite flower. When you write, you must make sure to write on paper, make it colorful and involve all your senses. Drawing must be a personal thing, it doesn’t matter if you don’t think you’re a good enough artist, all that matters is that you enjoy your art and that it makes you and your life special. You must be proud of your creations, whether you’re a beginner or you’re a skilled artist. Perhaps you could take up a new hobby that you can spend small amounts of time on everyday. You could knit, sew, paint, write poetry or take photographs. Not only will you be learning a new craft but you will be dedicating that part of your day to self improvement and creativity, you will be happy and proud of yourself. In that time you must acknowledge how special and important that time is to you and don’t let anyone take it from you. Enjoy your craft for what it is, concentrate on it while you are doing it. Immerse yourself in it, this way you are being fully present while enjoying your much deserved me time. 
For example, I recently started Bullet Journaling, a Bullet Journal is a wonderful way of keeping track of your life while focusing on creativity and self growth. I use many different habit trackers in my journal, I track my water intake, my mindfulness and my mental health. I draw in my journal and I write down the things I’m most grateful for. One of my favorite things to do in my journal is practice my Cursive, it is very gratifying to work on the perfect swoop to start your letter C.  

Be Positive

                                It can change the world.

By being creative, you are focusing your mind on something positive, something that hasn’t been touched by the pessimistic lifestyle we are forced to acknowledge. When you can train your mind to being fully invested in the positivity of the creative process then you can start weeding all the negative seeds in your brain. We don’t need to live in fear, we don’t need to watch the news or read horrible stories, all we truly need is to be at peace within ourselves. Slowly you can learn to eliminate the negative intake and only have good positive vibes surrounding you. This way we can be done with illness, fear, corruption and war. The more people who make a conscious decision to live healthier and fulfilled lives, the more chances we as humanity have to prosper in a peaceful unity. 
It may be hard at first to live mindfully but anything worth doing will be challenging, that only makes the end result even more gratifying.

My thoughts on Disappointment.

Disappointment Can Change Into Better Things.

  
This morning I comforted someone who received unpleasant news and it got me thinking of how people in general, including me don’t handle disappointment very well. We hear bad news or we are told we can’t do something we have always wanted to do, we immediately go into loss. We go into loss even if it something we never truly had or owned. 
We need to realize that if we don’t have something, no matter how much we wanted it, that specific thing is not meant to be in our lives. The universe delivers what we need and what will make our lives better. You may think that the thing you have been wanting and dreaming of is going to change your life for the better but perhaps in the long run it will bring you stress and discomfort. 
Say your business is failing, whether it is your fault or not, you need to sit up and think about your life and how that business you slaved over has affected you. Acknowledge the good things and the bad. then think of how your business is making you feel right now. If it makes you feel good and happy then it is the right thing to focus on, but if it only makes you feel sad and stressed or angry, then you need to know that it’s okay to let it go. You don’t need to feel guilty about letting something go if it was a toxic part of your life.
Once you make peace with it then you can open your mind to more positive opportunities you would like to welcome into your life. The Universe is there to help you manifest your dream life. You need to get into contact with the Universe so that you can can make it clear what exactly it is you want. One thing to remember is that your belief in the idea and the Universe is one of the most powerful tools you have. 
Not long ago I decided the road I was walking was no longer serving me. I got ill, I was in a constant state of fear. Fear ruins lives and I needed to get out of that space. I changed my mind about everything I had created in my life. I left the business I was with, I changed my direction completely. I went overseas to visit family and there I discovered the kind of person I was aching to become.
I found Buddhism and started meditating everyday. It changed my perspective of everything. I told the Universe what kind of life I wish to live and as soon as I got back home, things started happening for me. I was shown a few different paths I could take to help me get to my goal. I chose the one that flowed the easiest and here I am. I’m a Reiki student, I have an amazing Reiki Master teaching me and I enjoy the experience. I have changed my career goals, I have made new friends and my health has improved amazingly. 
My point is, don’t wallow too long in the disappointments of life because life is amazing and all you really need to do is change your mind, the rest will follow. We all need the mud to grow as beautiful as the peaceful lotus. The mud in life serves a purpose, it’s the lessons we learn and the hardships that get us to open doors to wonderful places. You just need to get clear on what you would like to find behind that door. 
I hope whoever reads this can at least relate in some small way, so that life can start changing for the better.

I’m New To This.

Hello 

My name is Cat, I decided on a whim to start blogging. 
I am a writer but I never got the hang of blogging, I’m more into writing novels, which some day I hope to publish. 
I made the name of my blog Spirit Meets Food because I am on a journey of finding myself through a holistic life. I am Buddhist, I recently started doing yoga and I’m studying Reiki. I love to cook and maybe I will post recipes and pictures of my food on this blog. 
I am a Bullet Journal nut and might share some of my ideas and layouts here too. 
All in all I will try to keep things neat and entertaining and I hope if anyone reads the blogs I post, that they enjoy my writing, silly ideas and the deep thoughts of my imagination. 
I hope to inspire and spread peace and love through my writing.
